What do you need to use the service?
All you need is the iPassConnect dialing software, Microsoft Windows
98SE, ME, 2000, XP or Apple Macintosh OS 8/9, X
and your Bruce Telecom Internet dial-up account. In just a few seconds,
with a simple point-and-click interface, iPassConnect enables you to connect
to the Internet with a local phone call from every major city in the world.
You maintain one account with Bruce Telecom Internet, continue to use the web browser
and e-mail program of your choice, and always use the same username and
password. Bruce Telecom Internet provides you with the iPassConnect software at no
additional cost.

How does it work?
The use of intelligent routing and iPass RoamServer software that resides
on Bruce Telecom Internet's systems make this roaming service possible. iPass provides
a service between Bruce Telecom Internet and other ISPs around the world to enable
their customers to be authenticated when dialing into each other's services.
All you must do is have a standard dial-up account with Bruce Telecom Internet.
When you travel, you dial into a local number and you log in with the same
username and password. In effect, you are still logging into the Internet
via Bruce Telecom Internet, even though you are dialing in through a different provider.
You can continue to use your regular web browser, e-mail program or other
Internet applications.
Roaming Charges
The charges for the iPass Global Internet Roaming service are billed
once a month, and will be deducted from your credit card or appear on your
monthly statement from Bruce Telecom Internet.
iPass access is possible through a network of participating ISP's around
the world. Each ISP charges an hourly fee for iPass access. This is typically
$3-$4/hour ($0.06/minute) for most US locations, but may fluctuate,
depending on the ISP's charges in the area you're dialing from.
The iPassConnect software can download
the most up to date phonebook entries everytime you make a connection with
the software.
