Because of differences between operating systems and how they operate, the process for updating the phonebook entries in your IPass software differ slightly.  Below are the instructions for your operating system.  The IPass software can also download updates automatically at specific intervals, but if you are using the software for the first time, the phonebook should always be updated manually before travelling..

Windows 2000/XP

1.) Connect to the internet either with IPass or your local connection.
2.) Click Settings, Software Update.
3.) The wizard will download the latest updates as needed.

Windows 98/ME

1.) Connect to the internet using either IPass or your local connection.
2.) Click Options>Update Phonebook from the menu.
3.) The wizard will download the latest updates as needed.

Mac OSX

1.) Connect to the internet using either IPass or your local connection.
2.) Click Update Phonebook from the top menu.
3.) The wizard will download the latest updates as needed.

Mac OS 8/9

1.) Connect to the internet using either IPass or your local connection.
2.) Click Options>Update Phonebook from the menu.
3.) The wizard will download the latest updates as needed.
