Bruce Telecom Internet Turbo Dial-up Service
"Turbo" is a small software program that you run
when you're dialed up to the Internet. After the program is running
in the background, it will optimize images and text (to a degree
you select) and send them to your PC much faster than conventional
dialup. This can result in browsing speeds of up to 19 times the normal
dialup rate.
Click the "Turbo" button above to download software
These instructions will assist you with your Turbo dial-up
Setup.Part 1: Downloading
- CLICK
HERE to download the Bruce Telecom Turbo Dial-up software. (If you haven't
activated this service on your account, you must do so first by
going HERE
- When the following window appears, make sure "Save
this program to disk" is selected, and click the OK
button.
- In the next window, select a place to save the file.
Don't forget where you saved it, just in case you ever need to
re-install it.
- Once the file has downloaded, you'll see the following
window, click on the "Open" button.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install. We
recommend you keep the default settings by simply clicking the
"Next" button for the first three windows and
then the "Finish" button. Accelerator has now
been installed on your computer and has placed an icon on your
desktop.
Part 2: Using the Bruce Telecom Internet Turbo Dial-up Software
As this is your first time launching the product, you will be prompted for a username and password. Enter your username and password in the fields provided.
Enter your Bruce Telecom Internet Turbo username and password into the appropriate boxes in that window and make sure there is a check mark in "Save Password". Then hit the "Connect"
button.
You will now notice a browser window open up just
like the one you used before. However this new Accelerator browser
will appear like this in the Windows Task bar.
You can now enjoy accelerated surfing.
